EMS is needed yesterday

Most of the device manufacturers have the EMS as the last checklist item of the WHOLE product. They are often faced with aggressive EMS timelines. As the timelines are short, the classic “build vs buy situation” arises. ...
They have very limited time to evaluate the options considering present and future requirements and they tend to make decisions that could help in the short term but affect in the long run due to the wrong choice of EMS platform. EMS becomes mandatory when the devices are complex, or there are certain unique hardware features that differentiate the device manufacturers in the marketplace which cannot be showcased by the NMS.
